Marcel Lal | CEO Asia Pacific

Raised in Sydney, I relocated to Brisbane 14 years ago where I live with my wife and our daughter. We value our family time, along with any opportunity to travel and experience different cultures. I’ve always enjoyed playing and watching various sports but tennis remains one of my passions, having previously been a qualified coach whilst still playing competitively today as time permits.

I have a Business Degree majoring in Economics & Finance, with additional qualifications in Leadership, Management & Marketing. I am also CFE qualified as a Certified Franchise Executive. Continued learning and development is something that I consider a key aspect of our working life.

My role as CEO Asia Pacific and as a member of our Global Strategy Board means I am focused on strategic planning, leading our teams across six countries and driving key initiatives to achieve our growth aspirations and financial targets for all stakeholders. Prior to this, I ran the InXpress Australia & New Zealand business and also have over 10 years franchising experience, along with 25 plus years across multiple industries.

I am extremely passionate about the InXpress business and proud to be a part of a sustainable B2B model and a resilient franchise system which affords great opportunities to franchisees and staff, all of whom are at the core of our business values.

James Buck | Country Manager AU & NZ

I was born in Brisbane but moved to the Solomon Islands with my parents shortly thereafter where I commenced schooling with my two siblings. Fast forward some years and I find myself with a career in global shipping and logistics,12 years of this was working in Sydney prior to joining InXpress which was thoroughly enjoyable and remains my favourite Australian city. I recently returned to Brisbane with my partner Sarah and our two Border Collie’s.

I studied International Business and am currently working through a Master’s Degree in International Law. I am an avid sports fan and dabbled at an amateur level in Rugby Union and played in many park Cricket teams over the years.

As Country Manager and a Director of InXpress Australia and New Zealand, my role is to deliver a profitable network to all stakeholders including our franchise network, striving for best practice across every aspect of the business. This includes Franchise Development, Business Coaching, Marketing, Finance, Administration, IT and Operations. I am also responsible for ensuring we are offering our franchisee’s and staff opportunities to learn and grow and to reinvest in the network, ensuring we continue to evolve.

Originally from sunny South Africa, I made the move to Australia over 10 years ago with my partner and daughter. While I still have my brother and sister in SA, we love the Aussie lifestyle and so my daughter and I recently became Australian Citizen’s. We have settled nicely in North Brisbane with our 2 adorable puppies.

I have a Business Administration and PR Diploma and started my career with Deloitte in South Africa.

In my current role, I provide executive assistance to the Global CSO, Asia Pacific CEO and Country Manager for AU/NZ. I am also responsible for the coordination of various conferences and functions and provide administrative assistance to Head Office management.

I grew up in the North West Victorian town of Mildura where I completed my tertiary and post grad education and commenced my finance career in Logistics.  My husband and I moved to Brisbane in 2009 after a long-term desire to live close to the beach and have great weather for most of the year.  I have two young children with the eldest in early years of primary school.

I have a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and am a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA). I have over 15 years Finance & Financial Management in Shipping & Logistics Land (Road and Rail), Sea, Air & Warehousing, specialising in Ships Agency, Freight Forwarding, Mergers and Acquisitions

As a member of the APAC Leadership team, I support the Regional CEO, Country Managers, Finance Managers and their teams with finance administration, best practices, new initiatives and training and development.

Originally from Melbourne, I spend my Uni days in Canberra, where I started my professional career and then relocated to Brisbane in 2013.

I have a Bachelor in Hospitality Management (BHM) and have prior professional experience in the Aviation industry operations, IXP AU Office & Operations Manager then Product Export in AP IT team

In my current role, I work closely with the Global Operations Team, standardizing business practices globally and regionally to ensure consistent services to both franchisees and customers.

Born and bred in Bankstown, I began my career working at South Sydney Football Club as an assistant to the Marketing Manager. It was at this time I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in Marketing and went on to firstly complete a Marketing Management Diploma, then on to a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing & Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

I have over 20 years’ marketing experience, in both traditional and digital methods and am a qualified Graphic Designer. I also have over 8 years of experience in the franchising sector.

In my role at InXpress, I am responsible for the brand development, the marketing strategy for franchise sales and supporting the franchise network with their marketing requirements in Australia, New Zealand and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Born in NSW, I remain a passionate supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons. However, I moved to Brisbane many moons ago with my wife and 3 boys, who all enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that Queensland affords.

I have over 20+ years of franchising experience with a balanced perspective of both the franchisee and franchisor, having worked as Franchise Development Manager at Hogs Breath Australia as well as owning franchises with Hoggs and Boost Juice. Prior to this, I was the QLD & NT Manager Compass Group – Retail and Merchandise.

I also just recently completed a Master of Business Administration and look forward to utilising these newly gained skills in my current role. As Franchise Development Manager, I am responsible for the recruitment of new franchisees, re-sale of existing franchised InXpress businesses.

Originally from Adelaide, I relocated to Queensland with my partner, Anthony and have enjoyed settling into home ownership with our two German Shepherds in tow; Archimedes and Samantha – who take more space than we do!

My career path began while studying Biomedical Science and then veered off into Personal Training and Gym Management. Previously I worked as Accounts Receivable Officer IXP / Assistant Manager at Tattersalls Club – Health & Wellness Centre. Having completed a Diploma of Business, I unexpectedly ‘fell into’ InXpress but love the locality and the team we are fortunate enough to work with.

My role entails keeping Geoff on track, acting as appointment setter and coordinator for Franchise Development and all that entails – Jack of all, master of none! Once a franchisee has entered the network, it is rare you will hear from me unless I am assisting another department like Finance or Support.

Alan Brackenbury | Business Performance Manager AU / NZ

Originally from the UK, I spent a third of my life in New Zealand where I met my now wife, Amy. We relocated back to the UK for a short period of time and then made the decision return to the southern hemisphere ending up in North Brisbane, where we are raising our children.

I have a Bachelor in Business and enjoyed working for DHL Express for 17 years in various Senior Sales and Customer Service roles. My approach is to always think of the customer and “how does this look to our franchisee AND their customer?” I have a passion for being insanely customer centric and walking in the shoes of both the franchisee and the end customer.

In my current role, I am responsible for the strategic growth of the InXpress franchise network, working with franchisees on their business performance and growth, maximising opportunities to increase revenue and margin growth.  Building and promoting strong, long lasting franchisee relationships is so important and achieved by partnering with them and understanding their needs. The voice of our franchisees drives our business, so we must listen!

Originally from South Africa, I moved to Queensland with my mum and her partner when I was a teenager. I love living in Australia and recently became an Australian Citizen. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Human Resource Management and hold a Culture of Franchising qualification.

I love working with people, helping them to achieve their goals, providing a better understanding of our InXpress model and the concepts we strive to uphold.

My new role as Training and Coaching Co-ordinator will allow me to work closely with the members in our network to provide them the best quality content and assistance.

Raju Paudel | Finance Manager, AU/NZ

Born in Nepal, I moved to Australia in 2010 and my wife and I have enjoyed raising our two children in Brisbane for many years now.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting, an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting and am a qualified Chartered Accountant. I have over 7 years of accounting experience and 3 years’ experience in Auditing.

Currently my role involves AU & NZ management reporting; supervision of payables and receivables function; financial evaluation, pricing analysis and compliance projects for franchisees. In addition to this, I have been providing ongoing support and training to the network for all their accounting needs.

Originally from Romania, I lived in New Zealand for almost 15 years and then 2 years ago made the decision to relocate to sunny Brisbane with my husband and our 2 boys: Arthur and Ray.

I have a Bachelor of Business, Double Degree in Accounting and Finance and have over 6 years of professional experience.

In my current role, I provide support to the Asia Pacific regions with Month End and other financial reporting and AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation. I also assist the franchise network with franchise payables processing and inquiries.

In my current role, I support the franchise network in helping their customers with managing payments and am also involved in various other accounting tasks.

I was born in s’Hertogenbosch, Netherlands but relocated to Australia with my family very soon after, first landing in Victoria and then settling in Queensland. Interesting fact! I have 4 middle names Adriana, Wilhelmina, Petronella, Florentina, Maria.

I have over 23 years of experience in various accounts roles, having previously worked as a Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable and now as Accounts Officer.

In my current role, I support the franchise network in helping their customers with managing payments.

Born in Canberra, I’m the eldest of 6 siblings.  At the beginning of my career, I lived in UK and NZ and then settled in Brisbane in 2016. I currently live and work happily here with my partner, Grace.

I’ve been involved with InXpress for 7 years as both a franchisee and then as a business coach, focusing on the Onboarding group and new franchisees.

In my current role as Operations Manager, I work within the Franchise Support Centre team providing operational support to the franchise network and work closely with carriers to ensure we offer the very best products and services to the market.

Originally from Sydney, my partner and I live locally with our two young girls and two active dogs.

I have a Cert 3 in Business Administration and various training and qualifications in franchising and franchise development.

In my current role, I supervise the Franchise Support staff and Credits team, acting as a point of escalation and troubleshooting for the franchise network. I also assist with new franchise set up and onboarding as well as carrier relationship management, building strong collaboration to better support our franchise Partners.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, sewing with my girls and trying and testing essential oils.

Having spent most of my life living in North Brisbane, I've also spent some time on the Sunshine Coast however moved back with my two boys not long before joining the InXpress team.

I am currently studying a Diploma of Graphic Design which keeps me quite busy, but when I do have a spare minute, you'll catch me at the beach or catching up with friends over coffee, good food or cocktails. 

Previously, I have worked in admin for a digital marketing agency and have spent my earlier years working in IP Telephony at Telstra.

As a Franchise Support Officer at InXpress, I support the network with any assistance they may need. This includes but isn’t limited to invoicing, credits, providing reweigh data and communicating with carriers.

Born and raised in North Brisbane, Queensland, I have played soccer most of my life. My husband and I purchased our first home 2 years ago. We welcomed a long awaited, beautiful baby girl in April 2019. Looking forward to being able to travel again and excited to have more children in the future.

I hold a Cert II & III in Information Technology and have completed a vast range of training courses while working with InXpress as I have been a Personal Assistant, Credits Officer and now Franchise Support.

Prior to working at InXpress I worked as a Student Support Officer, Major Accounts Sales Consultant, Tele-Sales Agent & Woolworths.

In my current role as Franchise Support Officer, I assist the franchise network by helping with any queries or trouble-shooting they may require.
